Why Eco friendly?

Cast iron cookware is a fantastic choice for both health and the environment. Here’s why:

Health Benefits

  • Naturally Non-Toxic – Unlike non-stick cookware that may contain harmful chemicals, cast iron is free from synthetic coatings like PFAS and PFOA.

  • Boosts Iron Intake – Cooking in cast iron can naturally increase the iron content in food, helping prevent iron deficiency.

  • Even Heat Distribution – Cast iron retains heat well, ensuring food cooks evenly and enhancing flavors.

  • Long-Lasting & Safe – With proper seasoning, cast iron develops a natural non-stick surface, reducing the need for excess oil and making cooking healthier.

Environmental Benefits

  • Durable & Sustainable – Cast iron cookware lasts for generations, reducing waste and the need for frequent replacements.

  • Eco-Friendly Production – Made from natural materials, cast iron cookware has a lower environmental impact compared to synthetic alternatives.

  • Energy-Efficient Cooking – Its excellent heat retention reduces energy consumption, keeping food warm longer without constant reheating.

  • Recyclable & Zero Waste – Old cast iron cookware can be re-seasoned or recycled, making it a sustainable kitchen choice.

Switching to cast iron cookware is a great way to embrace healthy cooking while supporting a greener planet.

Ecohoy is derived from two Eco and Hoy. Hoy in English is used to attract someone’s attention (Recall the pirate’s Ahoy!) and in Spanish it means “Today”. – We strive to divert people’s attention to the environment and aim to catalyze change, not tomorrow but today and beginning now.
